Direct Individual Service
MFST provides one-on-one speech therapy services, including in office and occasional at-home assessments and consultations. We work with children who need assistance with a specific skill set, including articulation, oral motor skills, feeding, processing, language and engagement and reading disorders, and can benefit from one-on-one attention.
Group Speech Pathology Services / Social Skill Groups
Kids on the spectrum and others can gain much by participating in peer groups, so MFST offers those kids the opportunity to take part in social groups and group speech services. Generally those groups consist of two to four kids in a similar age group, working with one or two therapists for each session, which typically lasts one hour. These activities are especially helpful for children who might need assistance in the areas of cooperative learning, turn taking, perspective taking, and social thinking.
